In the United States, there are very few truly wild areas as compared to a century ago. Even protected wildlife preserves such as those in Alaska are at risk of being destroyed out of greed. Vast forests are turning into oil wells and condos. Protect the few remaining habitats and parks by doing a dare for one of these charities; it's a new spin on environmental fundraising that's a lot cooler than just going door to door. The next time you go to the park to play ball, or even to sit on a bench, you'll be able to thank yourself for your contribution to such a critical part of the earth around us.
