Atlanta Board Members featured in Habitat for Humanity PSA
During our 10th annual Habitat for Humanity home build project, ABR members were featured in an 11Alive Public Service Announcement. This is scheduled to air mid-November (2011). We believe the annual ABR-sponsored Habitat for Humanity build provides our members the opportunity to become involved with a community service project that directly relates to our industry. Promoting homeownership is the focus of our association. We encourage our members to become involved in this build and participate in this heart-warming experience.

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity 1000th and 1001st House Celebration
November 2008 - For the past 25 years, the Atlanta chapter of Habitat for Humanity has built over 1000 homes for the Atlanta community. This video captures the construction of 2 houses from start to finish. Featuring Clark Howard and numerous Atlanta-area churches and non-profit organizations. Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit ecumenical housing ministry that helps Atlanta families achieve the American dream of homeownership. It is one of approximately 1600 local affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International. Each local affiliate works to serve its specific community— all support from our sponsors, donors and volunteers directly benefits the local Atlanta community. Atlanta Habitat is a movement of concerned and motivated citizens from all walks of life coming together to make a difference in the City of Atlanta. More than 35 individuals, half administrative and half construction, currently staff Atlanta Habitat. We also engage the efforts of approximately 15200 volunteers annually to raise funds, build homes, qualify homeowner applicants, provide administrative support, and much more.
