2011 Angel Awards - BCBS of Louisiana Foundation
Six people across the state were named winners of the annual Angel Awards offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and another was named Blue Angel. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation presented its Angel Award to eight extraordinary volunteers who improve the quality of life for at-risk children in Louisiana. The Angel Award also comes with a $20000 grant for each volunteer's charitable organization. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation will recognize these Angels: Janet Andrews, New Orleans Lloyd Benson II, Baton Rouge Carter Boyd, Shreveport Deidra Decay, Harvey Derrick Tabb, New Orleans Dana Taylor-Jones, Monroe This year marks the third addition of another angel, the Blue Angel. Traditionally, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana employees have been ineligible for the Angel Award, but to recognize their commitment and dedication to community, the Blue Angel award includes a $5000 grant for the recipient's charity of choice.
