In 1986, a group of visionary women business owners founded The Atlanta Womens Fund as part of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. In 1998, that fund had grown in importance and credibility to become independent as The Atlanta Womens Foundaton (AWF). Backed by the enthusiasm and support of men and women, corporations and foundations, AWF has put over $11 million back into our community. These dollars are the first drops of water that begin the ripple of change in our community today.
