Our mission is to provide love, affection, food, clothing, shelter and an education to abandoned, disadvantage children of Haiti; and guidance to improve their lives. Christian Coalition will help children progress through tough times. We have opened our doors to welcome these little angels that are desperate, malnourish and frighten. Our program will revive and support the needy orphans with future housing. However; the orphanage will be open to any child without an immediate or a responsible family member. The children will receive a loving environment, safe shelter, food, clean water, clothing, education and the gospel message of Jesus Christ. They will take advantage to three (3) meals a day with snacks in between. The orphanage will initially assume care for 50 orphaned children. As Christians, we firmly believe that with divine power we can achieve anything. Therefore, first and foremost we rely on the mighty power of our maker. Read Gender Action's primer on gender, IFIs and the global food crisis: bit.ly Gender Action, ActionAid USA, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation hosted a panel to discuss the gendered impacts of International Financial Institution (IFI) investments in agriculture and rural development. Panel speakers discussed the ways in which IFI investments exacerbate food insecurity and poverty in developing countries and thereby undermine the health and livelihoods of women and girls. The panel also discussed how civil society can advocate for rural development and agriculture investments that meaningfully involve women and girls as stakeholders and equally benefit women and men, boys and girls.
