Student organizations join together
The Muslim Student Association, the Arab Cultural Association and Athens for Justice in Palestine, all University of Georgia student groups, have joined together in an effort to raise funds for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, a nonpolitical, nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting the medical and humanitarian crisis facing children in the Middle East.

Riz Khan - Palestinian Children's Relief Fund - 18 Sep 08 - Part 1
Riz speaks with the founder of the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, Steve Sosebee, as well as one doctor who is volunteering his time and skills to help children in the US. In any war it is usually the smallest victims who suffer the most, and this has been the case in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hundreds of children have been physically and psychologically damaged by bombs, sniper fire and missile attacks, but often left without adequate medical treatment. The Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) was established in 1991 to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youth. Since then it has expanded to help suffering children in other Middle Eastern nations, improve the quality of medical care by sending in medical equipment and supplies into the West Bank and Gaza Strip and training Palestinian surgeons. The PCRF currently has several sick or injured Arab children the Middle East, Europe and here in the US who are being treated for free.

My new hot spot is The Pavilion in Downtown, I happened to sit next to the ladies behind the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), I got talking to them, pulled my camera out and had a quick chat with them for my blog. If you have ever been interested in charity work and didn't know who to contact then watch this; they are looking for any support you can give them, they actually have summer camps coming up; volunteers can choose from 17 different camps located in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon whether you choose to go for a day, a week or a couple of weeks; it's up to you -- whatever suits your schedule! Camps in Palestine -- Start from the14th of June Camps in Jordan -- Start from the 9th of July Camps in Lebanon -- Start from the 15th of July PCRF are also looking for item donations towards the summer camps including: First Aid Kits, Basketballs, Jumping Ropes, Badminton Sets, Yoga Elastics, Notebooks, Pencils, Pens, Pencil cases, Eraser, Sharpener, Disposable Cameras, Facepaints, Paintbrushes, crayons, puzzles, DVD/CD players, music CDs and DVDs and Educational board-games..
