Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community by: reducing food waste through the rescue and distribution of perishable and non perishable food; coordinating with other hunger relief providers; educating the public about hunger; and developing new food resources.

IMU X Food Gatherers
On Saturday, February 20, 2010, IMU helped the Food Gatherers pack over 9000 pounds of food (nearly 4.5 tons) for the Emergency Food Assistance Program. Thank you Food Gatherers for a wonderful time and we can't wait to volunteer again!

Food Gatherers - Super Carrots Farm - Westside Farmers Mkt,
The Westside Farmers Market is hosted by Zingermans Roadhouse and takes place every Thursday from 3-7 from June - September. Super Carrots Farm is being run by Food Gatherers and the vegetables are being sold by the Community Kitchen Job Training Program (CKJTP) Raised Bed Project. The carrots will be sold by CKJTP interns through the end of the market.
