For artist Deborah Butterfield her passion for horses began as a child and it is that passion that is explored in the latest exhibition at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, 1000 E. Beltline Ave. NE. On display through April 27 , “Essence: The Horses of Deborah Butterfield” features eleven major works spanning four decades of the artist’s career.
