The Art Museum strengthens our community and contributes to the vibrant quality of life in West Michigan. Our spectacular new Art Museum has become the centerpiece of Grand Rapids. A wonderful inaugural year has been completed in the new museum, and with your support the momentum of this first year will continue! We need your involvement in the form of an annual fund gift to the Art Museum. Annual Fund resources allow the museum to: • Present major exhibitions of national caliber to West Michigan from collaborating museums in the United States and abroad • Create stimulating complementary programming that enriches our understanding and appreciation of artwork • Operate and maintain the investment in the Museum

|
It is perhaps fitting that American artist Robert Rauschenberg’s most memorable quote was that he wanted to work “in the gap between art and life” for the artist himself filled in a “gap” as American art transitioned from Abstract Expressionism to Pop Art.
